Why Has My Website Stopped Serving?

Three different things look the same from outside. A traffic pause lifts by itself at the start of next month, a suspension needs a reply from us, and an unclaimed link simply expired.

Updated

A site that was working and has stopped usually has one of three causes. The page it shows tells you which.

If the site simply will not load for you but shows no message, that is a different problem. See why is my website not loading.

"Traffic Limit Reached"

Your account passed its monthly page-view allowance. Free includes 3,000 page views a month, pooled across every website on the account, not counted per site.

It lifts by itself at the start of next month. Nothing is deleted and nothing is lost while it is paused.

To bring it back now, upgrade. A paid plan has a much larger allowance and does not hard-stop the moment you reach it. See plans and pricing.

"Site Suspended"

Something on the website broke our acceptable use policy. The common reasons are phishing or fake login pages, impersonating a brand, malware, and pages whose purpose is to get around a network filter.

This does not lift by itself. If you think it is wrong, contact support from the email address on the account and tell us the address of the site. We do review these by hand and we do reverse mistakes.

Your files are not deleted while a site is suspended.

If you published without an account, you got an unclaimed link that lives for 30 minutes. After that it is gone, and it cannot be brought back.

Claiming it with a free account inside that window keeps it permanently, on the same address. See claiming an unclaimed website.

Still Not Sure

Open the site in a private window and read the message on the page. It names which of the three applies. If there is no message at all, the cause is somewhere else, and support can look it up from the address.

Did this answer it? If not, email support@oxypages.com with your website address and what you expected to happen.
