Upgrade Or Downgrade
Change plans on the Billing page's Plan tab. Upgrades apply immediately and you are charged a prorated amount. Downgrades apply at the end of your current billing period, and a Keep Plan button lets you cancel a pending downgrade.

You change plans on the Billing page in your dashboard, on the Plan tab. Pick monthly or annual with the billing toggle, then press the button on the plan you want - it reads Upgrade To or Switch To followed by the plan name and price. Upgrades apply immediately; downgrades apply at the end of your current billing period. Plan switching happens here on the Billing page, not in the Manage Billing portal - the portal handles cards, invoices and cancellation only.
Upgrades Apply Immediately
When you move to a more expensive plan, the change is instant. Stripe charges a prorated amount, so you only pay the difference for the remainder of the current billing period. Your monthly AI credit allowance is topped up to the new plan's amount right away.
If you are on the Free plan, the button opens Stripe Checkout to start the subscription. Your email address must be verified before checkout works.
Downgrades Apply At Period End
When you move to a cheaper plan, you keep your current plan until the end of the billing period you already paid for. The Billing page then shows the pending change, for example "Changes to Starter (monthly) on" your renewal date. Nothing extra is charged now.
Changed your mind? Press the Keep Plan button next to the pending change and the downgrade is cancelled - your current plan simply continues.
Your AI credit allowance also changes at the next reset, not immediately, so you keep the higher allowance until the downgrade lands.
Switching Between Monthly And Annual
Monthly and annual are separate choices of the same plan. Moving from monthly to annual billing counts as an upgrade and applies immediately; moving from annual to monthly counts as a downgrade and applies at the end of your current annual period.
Moving To Free
Free is not something you buy, so there is no Switch To Free button. Instead, press Cancel Auto Renewal on your plan card - your paid plan runs to the end of the period, then the account moves to Free. See Cancel Your Subscription for what changes on Free.
