Why Is My Form Not Working?
The most common cause by far is missing captcha keys - until a provider is saved in Form Settings, every submission is rejected. Other causes are testing too fast (10 submissions per hour per visitor), an unpublished site, fields without name attributes, or hitting the monthly notification email limit (entries are still stored).
Updated
Work through these causes in order - the first one resolves most cases.
1. No Captcha Keys Saved
Captcha is mandatory. Until you save a Cloudflare Turnstile or Google reCAPTCHA v3 key pair in Form Settings, every submission on your website is rejected and visitors see a "Forms Not Active" page. The Forms page in your dashboard shows a warning when this is the case. See the captcha setup article for the steps.
2. You Are Testing Too Fast
Each visitor can submit at most 10 times per hour per website. Repeatedly testing your own form hits this quickly - the visitor then sees "Too Many Submissions". Wait an hour, or test from a different connection. Each website also has a daily cap across all visitors: 100 submissions on the Free plan, 1000 on paid plans.
3. The Site Is Not Published
Forms only work on the live, published website. They do not submit in the editor preview. Publish, then test on your real address.
4. Entries Arrive But No Emails
Check the website's Forms page in your dashboard. If entries are there but your inbox is quiet, you have likely used this month's notification email allowance - submissions are still stored, nothing is lost, and emails resume on the 1st of next month. Submissions flagged as Spam also skip the email on purpose.
5. Fields Are Missing From Entries
A field is only captured if its input has a name attribute. Also note
that file uploads are not supported - only the filename is recorded, not
the file.
6. Captcha Fails For Visitors
The captcha needs JavaScript. A visitor with JavaScript disabled will see "Couldn't Confirm You're Human". If that message appears with JavaScript on, check that the keys in Form Settings belong to the right provider and that your website's address is registered with that provider.
7. Forms Were Turned Off
The Turn Forms Off button on Form Settings stops all submissions until new settings are saved. Existing entries are kept.
