Archiving takes a website off the internet while keeping everything in it - files, versions, form entries and statistics. An archived website stops counting against your plan's website limit, so archiving frees a slot for a new site.
You archive a website from the Archive Website section on its Settings page. Custom domains are removed and purchased domains are disconnected when you archive - reconnect them after restoring.
The Subdomain Is Released
When you archive a website, its myoxypages.com subdomain is released
immediately. Anyone can register that name for their own site from that
moment on. Getting the exact same address back later is not guaranteed.
When you restore an archived website, it comes back online on a random new subdomain, which you can change afterwards from the website's Domains page. Links, bookmarks and QR codes pointing at the old address will not work - regenerate any QR codes after a restore.
Restoring
Open the archived website in your dashboard and press Restore Website. Restoring requires a free website slot on your plan - if all your slots are in use, upgrade, or archive or delete another website first. Your last published version goes live again.
How Many Websites Can I Archive?
The number of archived websites you can keep varies by plan. The Settings page tells you when you have reached your archived-website limit - upgrade for more, or restore or delete an archived site first.

Archive when you might want the site back - everything is kept. Delete when you are done with it for good.
