Transfer A Domain To Another Account
Send a transfer offer from the domain's Transfer page to the new owner's email. The offer lasts 7 days and nothing changes until they accept. On acceptance the domain and its future renewal billing move to their account; DNS records and nameservers stay untouched.
Updated
Open the domain's Transfer page (Domains, then Manage on the domain, then Transfer) and use Transfer To Another OxyPages Account. Enter the new owner's email address, tick the confirmation, and press Send Transfer Offer. The offer expires in 7 days, and nothing changes until they accept - you can press Cancel Transfer at any time while it is pending.
The recipient gets an email with an invite link. They must sign in to an OxyPages account that uses exactly that email address, then accept the offer.
What Moves And What Does Not
When the transfer is accepted:
- The domain moves to the new owner's account, and future renewals are billed to their saved card. Your card is no longer charged.
- DNS records and nameservers are untouched - whatever the domain was serving keeps working.
- If the domain was connected to a website the new owner does not own, that connection is removed and the domain stops serving that website. The new owner can connect it to one of their own websites.
- Registrant (WHOIS) contact details stay as they were until the new owner edits them on the domain's Details page. Note that changing registrant details starts ICANN's standard 60-day registrar-transfer lock - hosting and renewals are unaffected by it.
Who Can Transfer
The account owner can always transfer a domain. A team member needs the Transfer Domains permission.
This page covers moving a domain between two OxyPages accounts. If you own a domain elsewhere and want to use it with OxyPages, you do not transfer it at all - see Connect A Domain You Already Own.
