Manage DNS And Nameservers

Every domain bought through OxyPages starts on OxyPages Managed DNS, powered by Cloudflare - hosting, SSL and the DNS editor all work automatically. To edit records, open the Domains page, press Manage on the domain, and go to its DNS page. You can add A, AAAA, CNAME, MX and TXT records there, so things like an external email service (MX and TXT records) work alongside your website. MX records take a priority number, and A, AAAA and CNAME records have an optional proxy setting.

This page is about domains bought through OxyPages. For a domain you own at another registrar, DNS stays with your provider and you only add one CNAME record there - see Connect A Domain You Already Own.

OxyPages Records Are Locked

The DNS page shows two groups. "OxyPages Records" point the domain at OxyPages hosting and are managed automatically - they cannot be edited or deleted. "Your Records" are the ones you add, and you can delete them any time with the delete button on the row.

Using Your Own Nameservers

On the domain's Name Servers page you can choose between two modes:

• OxyPages Managed DNS - Powered By Cloudflare (Recommended). Hosting, SSL and the DNS editor all work automatically.
• Custom Name Servers. Enter 2 to 4 nameservers from your own DNS provider and press Save Name Servers. DNS then runs entirely at that provider. OxyPages hosting and the DNS editor stop applying to this domain, and the automatic OxyPages records are removed.

To come back, choose the OxyPages option and press Switch To OxyPages DNS.

Website Connection Needs OxyPages DNS

A purchased domain can only be connected to one of your websites while it is on OxyPages DNS. On custom nameservers, the Website Connection section tells you to switch back first.
