Type your WhatsApp number with the country code and the message you want the chat to open with. The wa.me link under the panel updates as you type, with the message already encoded.
Choose floating or inline, a corner, a size and a colour, and decide whether to show the label. The preview on the right shows the button on a sample page; switch to Code to see the snippet.
Copy the HTML and paste it before </body> on any site, download it as whatsapp-button.html, or publish the sample page to a live link. No account is needed for the 30-minute link, and claiming it is free.
About This Tool
It turns a phone number and a message into one block of HTML: a click-to-chat button that opens a WhatsApp conversation with your business, ready to paste into any page.
A WhatsApp button is the fastest way to let visitors talk to you. Instead of a contact form they may never fill in, they tap once and a chat opens on their phone or in WhatsApp Web, with a message already written so they do not have to think about how to start. Making one by hand means learning the wa.me link format, encoding the message so spaces and question marks survive, drawing the logo and writing CSS to pin it to the corner. This WhatsApp button generator does all of that from a short form and hands you the finished snippet.
Anyone with a website and a WhatsApp number. Small businesses that take orders and bookings over chat. Freelancers who want enquiries to land on their phone. And especially people who are holding an HTML page from ChatGPT, Claude, a designer or a course and want a working contact button without touching the rest of the code.
The button is a plain link to https://wa.me/<number>?text=<message>, the official click-to-chat format. WhatsApp reads the number in international form with no punctuation, so the tool strips spaces, plus signs and brackets for you and warns if what is left is not a valid number. The message is URL-encoded live. Around the link sits an inline SVG of the WhatsApp glyph and a few inline styles, so the snippet carries its own look and does not depend on your site's stylesheet. The floating style adds a short <style> block that pins the button to a corner and lifts it on hover; the inline style is just the link, for placing inside a page. Pick a colour and the label text flips between white and dark automatically so it stays readable. Everything runs in your browser and nothing about your number or message leaves it until you choose to publish.
The generator makes one button with one number. It cannot show different numbers to different visitors, track clicks, or open a chat with more than one person. WhatsApp itself decides what happens after the tap: on a phone the app opens, on a desktop it offers WhatsApp Web or the desktop app. If you want to check how the button sits inside your own page, paste the whole thing into the HTML viewer, and if you also need a form for people who prefer email, the contact form generator pairs well with it.
The publish button below puts a sample page with your button on a free OxyPages subdomain with HTTPS, in seconds, with no account, so you can tap it on your phone and watch the chat open. The link lasts 30 minutes; claiming it is free and keeps it permanently, with your own address and, on paid plans, a custom domain. Instant publishing accepts pages up to 5 MB.
