Whose Credits Does A Teammate Spend?
A team member working inside the owner's workspace spends that workspace's credit pool, not their own - the credit ledger records both the paying account and the person who spent it. Anyone working in their own workspace, including collaborators, spends their own credits.

Credits are workspace-based. A team member who has switched into the account owner's workspace, using the account switcher in the app header, spends the owner's credit pool when they use the AI editor there - the owner's plan allowance and purchased credits apply, not the teammate's own. The credit balance shown in the header is always the balance of the workspace you are currently in, so you can see whose pool a message will use before you send it.
Every spend is recorded in the credit ledger with both sides: the account that paid the credit and the person who spent it.
Collaborators Spend Their Own Credits
Collaborators work differently. A collaborator is invited to one website and works on it from their own workspace - there is no switching. That means AI editor messages on a shared website use the collaborator's own credits, even though the website belongs to someone else. Everything else about the shared website follows the owner's plan (storage, domains, features); only AI credits follow the person's workspace.
In short: whoever's workspace you are standing in pays the credit.
