How AI Credits Work
Every message you send in the AI editor costs 1 credit, or 2 credits on a very large website (over 150,000 characters of site code). Your plan grants monthly credits - 10 on Free, 50 on Starter, 100 on Growth, 250 on Pro, 500 on Agency - and monthly credits are always spent before purchased ones.

Each message you send to the AI editor costs 1 credit, whatever the message asks for - a small tweak, a full redesign, or image generation (up to 8 images in one message) all cost the same single credit. The one exception is size: on a very large website, where the site code sent with your message is over 150,000 characters, a message costs 2 credits. If a message fails, its credit is refunded automatically.
Your Two Credit Pools
You have two pools of credits:
- Monthly credits come with your plan: 10 on Free, 50 on Starter, 100 on Growth, 250 on Pro and 500 on Agency. They reset every month and unused ones do not roll over - see When Do Credits Reset.
- Purchased credits come from one-time credit packs. They never expire.
Monthly credits are always spent first. Purchased credits are only touched once the monthly pool is empty, so buying a pack never wastes your allowance.
Checking Your Balance
Your total balance shows in the app header. For the full picture, open the Billing page's AI Credits tab: it shows Total Available, your Monthly Allowance with its reset date, and your Purchased credits.
When You Run Out
With zero credits, the AI editor refuses the message and tells you that you are out of credits. Nothing is charged for refused messages. You can buy a credit pack (see Buy More AI Credits), upgrade your plan for a bigger monthly allowance, or wait for your monthly reset. Hand-editing your files in the editor's Code tab costs nothing.
