A Tiiny Host Alternative: What To Use Instead

A Tiiny Host Alternative: What To Use Instead

Tiiny Host caps free uploads at 3 MB and keeps custom domains on paid plans. Every current price, checked October 2026, plus a Tiiny Host alternative per wall.

You uploaded a zip, got a tiiny.site link, sent it to someone, and it worked. That is the whole appeal and it is a real one.

Then something stopped you. The folder grew past 3 MB. You wanted your own domain. You needed a second site. Or you re-uploaded four times in an afternoon and were told to come back tomorrow.

So now you are shopping for a Tiiny Host alternative, and most of the comparison posts you will find were written by whoever wants the subscription next. I run a static host, so weigh this accordingly.

What I can offer instead is Tiiny Host's numbers as they stood on 9 October 2026, read off its own help centre and pricing page, then a map of which wall you hit, where it sits lower, and which walls are not worth moving for at all.

TL;DR: Tiiny Host's free plan gives you one project, a 3 MB upload limit, three uploads a day, 5,000 visits a month, 5 GB of bandwidth and a Tiiny Host branding bar. No custom domain, no password protection, no PHP, no API. Custom domains and API access both start on Solo, at $18 a month or $156 billed yearly; Tiny, $9 a month or $60 yearly, mainly buys a bigger upload limit and removes the banner. If your wall is the custom domain, Netlify and Cloudflare Pages both allow one free. If it is file size, Cloudflare Pages takes single files up to 25 MiB free. If it is PHP, a PDF viewer or a password, no plain static host replaces Tiiny Host. Prices checked 9 October 2026.

If you want the whole field rather than this one swap, a static hosting comparison organised by what you already have covers eleven hosts. This one assumes you already have a tiiny.site link.

Why Do People Look For A Tiiny Host Alternative?

Almost always one of five limits, and four are numbers on the free plan. Here is what Tiiny Host's own help centre and pricing page listed on 9 October 2026.

PlanPer monthBilled yearlySitesUpload limitUploads per dayCustom domainAPI
Free$0$013 MB per project3NoNo
Tiny$9$60125 MB per project3NoNo
Solo$18$156575 MB per projectUnlimitedYes, up to 5Yes
Pro$38$3721510 GB per accountUnlimitedYes, up to 15Yes
Pro Max$89$888Unlimited2 TB per accountUnlimitedYes, up to 15Yes

Visits and bandwidth climb alongside those: 5,000 visits and 5 GB a month on Free, 10,000 and 10 GB on Tiny, 100,000 and 50 GB on Solo, 500,000 and 100 GB on Pro, and a million visits with 200 GB on Pro Max.

The 3 MB free cap is smaller than an average web page. The HTTP Archive's Web Almanac measured the median page at 2,412 KB on desktop and 2,164 KB on mobile in July 2025. the HTTP Archive Web Almanac chapter on page weight So an ordinary page with photographs in it reaches Tiiny's free ceiling before you have done anything unusual. PDFs are capped lower again, at 0.5 MB.

Three uploads a day is the limit most people hit first. It applies to Free and to Tiny. If you are iterating while a client watches, three attempts is one coffee.

A custom domain starts at Solo, not at Tiny. This is the one that catches people: Tiny looks like the obvious cheap upgrade and does not include the thing most people are upgrading for. Tiiny's own guide puts domains on Solo and above, five there and up to fifteen on Pro and Pro Max.

The API also starts at Solo. A deploy script, a Zapier step or an agent that publishes for you all sit behind the same $18 tier.

Watch which price you are reading. $156 divided by twelve is $13, and $60 divided by twelve is $5. Those figures get quoted all over the internet as though they were the monthly prices. They are not.

What Tiiny Host Is Genuinely Better At

It is a document sharing product with hosting attached, and most static hosts are the reverse. That is a feature, not a shortfall.

  • Single-file PHP. On Tiny and above you can upload a .php file on its own, or a PHP app as a zip. Tiiny is clear this does not extend to databases, WordPress or any CMS. Still, almost every static host refuses .php outright and Tiiny does not.
  • PDFs as first-class citizens. PDF to page, page-level analytics on that PDF, download tracking. If you publish decks or reports, Tiiny has thought about your job specifically.
  • Password protection per project, on Solo and above, with no code and no widget.
  • Presentation and feedback modes, version history and QR codes: features of a product built for sending work to clients, not for deploying software.
  • The shortest upload flow in the category. Drag, name, live. That is what earned it the reputation.

If any of those five describes what you actually do, stop reading comparison posts. The cheapest fix is a plan, not a migration.

Where To Go Instead, By The Wall You Hit

Pick by the thing that stopped you. These hosts are not interchangeable and only one or two clear each wall.

Checked 9 October 2026. Netlify's pricing page lists free at $0 with a 300 credit limit and custom domains with SSL included, Personal above it at $9 a month. Cloudflare's Pages limits page gives the free numbers above. GitHub's limits page caps a site at 1 GB with a soft 100 GB of monthly bandwidth, and says plainly that Pages is not free hosting for an online business, an ecommerce site or commercial software as a service.

The static.app row is worth flagging, because it markets itself hard as the swap for Tiiny Host. Its pricing page now lists the $0 option as a seven day trial, one website, 50 MB. That is a trial, not a free plan, so if free is why you are leaving it is not the destination.

Short version. Custom domain on a free tier: Netlify or Cloudflare Pages. A file bigger than 3 MB: Cloudflare Pages, free, up to 25 MiB. More than one site: either of those, or Solo if you stay. A password, a PDF viewer or PHP: stay put.

Nobody needs to pay for the certificate. Every host above issues HTTPS automatically and none of them charge, Tiiny included, and what an SSL certificate actually costs covers the few cases where paying still makes sense.

The Cost Of Moving That Nobody Mentions

The Cost Of Moving That Nobody Mentions - OxyPages

Your tiiny.site address cannot be redirected, because you do not own tiiny.site.

That is the real switching cost and it has nothing to do with files. Google's guidance for a site move with URL changes asks for server-side permanent redirects from every old URL to its new one. Google Search Central on moving a site with URL changes On a subdomain belonging to your host you cannot create those. You can delete the old project, and that is it.

For a link you sent twice, that is nothing. For a page that has collected traffic for a year, you start again from zero.

So here is the one piece of advice I would give regardless of host: if the page matters, put it on a domain you own on day one. Then the host is a DNS record you can change in an afternoon instead of an address your audience memorised. how to connect a domain to a website is the twenty minute version.

Check your forms too. A contact form is server work, so it does not travel with your files, and every host wires it differently. On ours the convention is a data-oxy-form="contact" attribute on the form tag. The guide to forms on a static site covers the general mechanism.

Who Should Stay On Tiiny Host

Stay if any of these is true, and I mean stay rather than shop:

  1. You publish PDFs, decks or reports more often than websites.
  2. You need single-file PHP, which most static hosts will not serve at all.
  3. You want password protection without writing code.
  4. One site, under 75 MB, on your own domain is the whole requirement. Solo does that for $18 a month and a migration buys you nothing.
  5. The upload flow is why you chose it. It is the shortest in the category.

Leave if your folder is bigger than the plan you want to pay for, if you need more sites than the tier allows, or if you want a free custom domain, which Tiiny does not offer below Solo.

And a limit on our side, since I am asking you to trust the rest of this. OxyPages does not run PHP, does not run a build step, and refuses files outside a short allowlist, so a .zip you want people to download is not something we serve. If that is your project, Tiiny on a paid plan or a normal cPanel host is the better answer.

What To Do Next

Half an hour, in order.

  1. Open your Tiiny dashboard and write down which limit stopped you. Not "I need more", the number.
  2. Check the folder's real size on disk. Under 3 MB and the free plan was not your problem.
  3. If the wall is the custom domain, buy the domain first. It is the part that is yours and it works everywhere above.
  4. Publish the same folder to one free tier before you cancel anything, and keep both live for a week.
  5. Only then delete the Tiiny project, because the subdomain cannot be redirected and you cannot undo it.

If you want the folder online in about a minute and your own domain pointed at it afterwards, drag it in and see what each plan includes takes about as long as the upload you are used to.

Then stop comparing. Every host here serves static files from a global network, and the gap between them is smaller than one uncompressed photograph on your page. A Tiiny Host alternative deserves half an hour, not an afternoon.

FAQ

It is free and the link does not expire on a timer. Tiiny's help centre says a free link stays online indefinitely as long as the account stays active, and defines active as logging in at least once every three months. Leave it longer and Tiiny says it may remove the account, its projects and its links.

Does Tiiny Host Allow A Custom Domain On The Free Plan?

No. Custom domains start on Solo, $18 a month or $156 billed yearly as of 9 October 2026, with up to five allowed. Tiny at $9 a month does not include one, which surprises people because it looks like the natural first upgrade. Netlify and Cloudflare Pages both allow one free.

What Is The Biggest File I Can Upload To Tiiny Host?

3 MB per project on the free plan, and 0.5 MB for a PDF. Tiny raises that to 25 MB per project and Solo to 75 MB, while Pro and Pro Max move to account-wide ceilings of 10 GB and 2 TB. Cloudflare Pages, for comparison, allows a single file of up to 25 MiB free.

Which Plan Unlocks The Tiiny Host API?

Solo and above. Tiiny's help centre puts API access on the same tier as custom domains and password protection, so a deploy script or a Zapier integration is an $18 a month feature.

Do I Actually Need A Tiiny Host Alternative, Or Just A Plan?

Usually just a plan. If one site under 75 MB on your own domain covers it, Solo does that and moving buys you an afternoon of work and a dead subdomain. Go elsewhere when you need several sites, a file bigger than the tier you want to pay for, or a custom domain without paying at all.
